Dr Boyd has worked in a variety of mental health and or/forensic settings at various levels of security for over 20 years. She specialises in adults with mental health difficulties, adults and offending behaviour and individuals with diagnoses of Learning Disabilities. She is Chartered member of the British Psychological Society and a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologist UK (ACP-UK). She has worked as an expert witness within the medico-legal field (civil injury) since 2014 alongside running a private psychotherapy, supervision and training service. She was awarded the Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate (Civil Injury) in 2017 and is on the Bond Solon Expert Witness register. She is regulated by and registered with the HCPC. She is experienced in writing independent psychological medico-legal reports as well as mental health treatment outcome, risk and CPA reports.
